Sunday, the 18th annual walk: about 3.5 miles from the Manhattan Beach Pier to the Hermosa Beach Pier and back, raising money for the Friendship Foundation and six South Bay education foundations. Check-in opens at 8am in the pier's lower lot off Manhattan Beach Blvd. $30 registration includes a shirt and swag bag while supplies last. Arrive early for parking: Manhattan Beach Blvd closes between the pier and Manhattan Ave for the Pumpkin Race.
